The Demare recording (1942) is for me the definitive dance recording of this piece. It is at once introspective and melancholy, and at the same time, bright, colorful, with a delicate and dynamic arrangement. This is not a particularly difficult arrangement, but recreating the detail and nuance of Demare’s orchestra is a substantial challenge. Good luck!
